When you upload your Emirates ID and title deed to a Dubai tenancy contract generator, what does the AI actually read? What's stored, what's discarded, and how do you scan correctly to avoid extraction errors? This guide answers all three.
What's Extracted from Your Emirates ID
- Full name — Latin and Arabic
- Emirates ID number (15 digits)
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- ID expiry date
- Photo (used for visual confirmation only — not stored)
The contract generator does NOT extract or use:
- Card number (the printed code on the front)
- Issue date
- Sponsor or visa details (these are on the Emirates ID PDF, not the physical card)
- Fingerprint or biometric data
What's Extracted from Your Title Deed
- Owner full name (Latin and Arabic)
- Property number / unit number
- Plot number
- Building name
- Area / district
- Property size (sq ft)
- Property type and usage
- Title deed issuance date (used to flag old format)
Privacy: What Happens to Your Documents
Document handling at tenancycontract.com:
- Documents are processed in memory for AI extraction (5–15 seconds)
- Extracted fields are populated into the contract form
- Original document files are discarded immediately after extraction
- If you create a logged-in account, you can opt to save the generated PDF — but the source documents are still discarded
- Documents are never used for training, never sold, never shared with third parties
This is a deliberate privacy choice — minimising stored data minimises both legal exposure and breach risk. Even if the worst happened, there'd be no document database to leak.
How to Scan Correctly
- Use a flat surface — uneven lighting causes extraction errors
- Diffuse light from above — direct flash creates glare
- Capture all four corners of the document
- Hold the phone parallel to the document (avoid angled shots)
- Higher resolution = better extraction; default phone camera is fine
- PDF format if available; otherwise JPG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC
- Maximum file size: 8 MB per document
What If My Scan Is Bad?
The AI flags any low-confidence extractions on screen with a yellow highlight. If a critical field can't be extracted (e.g. plot number obscured), you'll see a re-upload prompt rather than the form being filled with a guess. You can always edit any field manually before generating the final PDF.
What If My Title Deed Is in Old Format?
Title deeds issued before 2018 sometimes have field positions that differ from current formats. The AI handles most variants, but flags older deeds for manual confirmation of the extracted plot and property numbers. Match what the AI shows against your physical deed before continuing.
